Growing a Tree in Your Heart

posted in: Articles | 2

The past month has been a whirlwind. I have been asking for guidance and clarification with my business and how to incorporate all of my gifts into one package. The clarity arrived about one month ago and the last few weeks have been about putting all the logistical pieces into place.

I now have an office on Fridays in Seattle and am set up to do Skype sessions at other times. If you haven’t read the new version of my home page, check it out. I would love to hear your thoughts and questions. It’s a big deal for me to be up front about my spiritual practices. I have been studying and learning to take care of my physical body for a long time, but it wasn’t until recently that I received guidance about how it fits perfectly with my spiritual gifts.

IMG_20130607_115733Today is my first day in my office space. It was lovely sitting in it, making notes about how I want to create the space energetically. I also spent time writing the first of several meditations I will offer to clients and probably as a download on this site. One part of the meditation has a visualization of arms and legs transforming into vines and leaves. After this transformation, a joyfully singing bird flies in and lands. Imagine my surprise and sense of connection when I enter the restroom just down the hall and discover this framed quote!

This blog will be evolving along with my business. Every day brings new levels of clarity and insight. At this point it feels like I will be writing more about my experiences using an energetic approach to food and healing, my spiritual life and related lectures and events, both in and outside of Seattle.

I will still be writing recipes, but those may show up more on my other blog, littleveg, which focuses on feeding children a whole food, plant-based diet. If you want to follow just one blog, I have links to recent sweetveg posts at littleveg.

I am excited to see my life evolving. I have the sense of a wide landscape opening up in front of me with a clear, broad vision of how I make a difference in the world. Each day I gather new insight into the connection between our bodies and spirit and look forward to sharing my journey with you. I am so pleased to have you along for this adventure.

I am excited to see the adventure unfolding right in front of my very eyes, too! SO HAPPY for you taking these huge steps as you share your bright light with the world! We’re all so lucky to be connected to you! xo

  2. Interesting…… the apple does not fall far from the tree.
When students felt stressed out, we offered them time to go out and visualize: hiking in the woods (or sitting by a stream), trees swaying rhythmically, and birds flitting around. Meditation is powerful and I am so happy that you are in a position to share.
